So, I have been working on my east coast trip via train and am totally stoked! I am starting out in Chicago with a friend and we are going to go hand at my grandmas for a day or two in Cherry Valley, Illinois. Then we will go back to Chicago and catch the train to D.C. In D.C. I am hoping to check out the Textile Museum, Spy Museum, Crime and Punishment Museum, National Building Museum, and do a bike tour around to all of the national monuments. It should be great and not so crowded as we are going in the beginning of September, which is too early for many school tours and too late for vacations. In Boston I will part ways with my traveling companion (tear, tear) and meet up with some good friends. I aim to check out more museums including, but not limited to: the MIT museum, Gardner museum, and Harvard museums. For sure we are going to try to check out a Red Sox game and tour the Sam Adams Brewery (woot). I tre want to see the Aquarium, but have been warned that it may not be worth the cash and a whale watch was recommended instead. Other options for Boston include going to Revear Beach or Salem. Finally I will be on to Amherst to visit a good friend/past roomate minus the room. So pretty much I am just going to pack in as much as possible, but not worry about too specific of plans. Anyways, the countdown till the 29th is on.
