Sweet As :)

Went and hiked the Tongariro Crossing yesterday. Got up early 5.30am, blah. Caught the bus and went to the mountains. The Crossing goes through a couple of volcanic peaks in the Central North Island and is way cool. Pretty unbelievable scenery for the whole 18.7 km, and it was supposed to be my off day...oh well:) So, it was great and you should check out the pics on my page. I have some nasty blisters from the hike though and will be gimping around for a few days here in Taupo, which is ok because there is a ton to do here. I am staying at the Berkenhoff Lodge & Backpackers, which is really nice, but a few too many rules. Funny story one of the guys in the dorm has been swimming across lake Taupo (147 km) for the last two days, and everyone thinks I'm crazy! Anywho check out the pics, will be more later. Take it easy all.

  4. Hey Lucy
Your photos look great! I didn't see any hobbits. It looks so nice and warm there as we go through our normal snow & ice.

  7. Hi Lucy,
I love your blog and pictures. It looks like you got a pretty nice bike and you are having a good time. I saw the pics of the hostels with your stuff on the beds. Do you leave your stuff there of take it with you. I guess I got the impression that travelers are not allowed to leave stuff at hostels. Guess I was wrong. Hope you're having a ton of fun. What have you been eating? Anything interesting and weird?
