I am finally leaving the farm today :( I will miss Helen and Kerry and JJ and Cardigan and Speed and Meg and the tomatoes...so sad. But, I am heading south to Omaru and the penguins!
My last day on the farm turned out to be very interesting. We had the 4 calves de-horned. The vet essentially burns them out of their skin with a blowtorch (after anestitizing them). He let me do one of the calves :) I think I may be a farm girl yet.
Also, recetly I have been recieving many invites to come visit many of you and will gladly accept as soon as the stupid forest service gives me a job! Seriously though, as soon as I know what is up I will start figuring things out. With so many cool people to see there is just never enough time.
