To Bluff, and Beyond!

Hey all,
I hope you are all doing well! I am in Invacargill now and am moving west. I have found a new mode of transportation, I am traveling by van via my new travel buddy Julie :) It has unfortunately become cold here, as the southern hemisphere is moving into fall and closer to winter. The weather here has been windy, rainy, and cold. So, the transport is nice, but even better is the company!
The last few days have been great. I left Dunedin with Julie, Hanna, and Toby. We went to the Otago Peninsula and did not see any albatross :( However, we did see sea lions getting cuddly and then a big male fight off a smaller one! So exciting. Then we moved on to the Catlands and camped and walked a trek, chilled with some Irish blokes, and enjoyed Stuchbrot around a bonfire, among other things. So much fun. We parted ways with Hanna and Toby yesterday :( So sad, but we will meet again I am sure! Today we had breakfast in Bluff and took a hike, it was very nice. Now we are going to head west this evening and camp out by the beach, should be a blast. So have a good day all!
Cheers!

  1. Well as you find yourself in the beginnings of winter, we are finding ourselves in the beginnings of spring.
Will the west coast be warmer because of the ocean waters?

  2. Hey Lucy --

You are getting soft, A little rain a little cold and you hide in a van. USA ! USA ! USA!

Seriously, I've enjoyed the journey. When you get home I suggest some serious beer drinking with lots of PowerPoint pictures with live commentary. Take care.

    Love UBob and Aunt Jo
