Mind the Gap :)

So, it has been too long since the last update, I just thought I would begin by outlining the rout.
National Park to Whanganui = 1day
Whanganui getting burned on the beach, checking out the farmer market, seeing the sunset and sunrise from great lookout = 1 day
Whanganui to Waikanae (Just north of Wellington) = 1 day
Hanging out in Waikanae, chillin with really great parents of my uncles sister in laws parents, touring local towns, checking out Wellington = 4 days
Ferry to Picton = 1 day
Queen Charolet Track with 4 coolest hiking buddies (you know who you are) = 3 days
Diving in Queen Charolet Sound and finally doing computer stuff = 1 day
Next to Kiakoura...

So highlighst of this were the lookout in Whanganui which was beautiful and I promise to get some pics up, I am such a slacker! Then bumming around with Myra and John who were so great. Playing tourist in Wellington, the cable car, the wellington botanical gardens, Te Papa museum. Hiking the Queen Charolet Track (despite the longer than nessicary detour) with Adam, Antje, Reto (a.k.a. the swiss jutebox), and Wouter. Beer on a windy night at the best backpackers I have been to yet (Tombstone Lodge, where the neighbors are very quiet) and diving a wreck (biggest seahorse ever!!!) and a fish reserve (very pushy fish and 2 stargazers, Josh/Sam remember the 1 we saw? These were freaking monsters comparitivley!) And of course catching up with all my lovley peeps (new and old) out there.

  1. I am keeping up on the map at home as to where you travel to. Everything you have described sounds great to me. I am wondering about how the terrain looks. Can you compare this to something you have already seen.

  2. Wellington is a pretty cool town. Glad you made it to the Te Papa Museum! More pictures!

Hope the biking doesn't get too difficult on the south island.
