Hello All! So I am back on the farm and really getting into the swing of things here. Been looking for a part time job here in Timaru, but things are a bit tight here so hopefully I will find something soon :) Crossing my fingers anyway. Well other than that went out snowboarding on Saturday! So much fun. There was a crazy number of people out. Mt. Dobson had a free day so they came out in droves. I had made a super sweet fluro hat for the occasion, but it seemed to be crazy hat day and mine did not even stand out. I am going to have to go nuts and make a really crazy one, lol! Anywho there was even a dude in a Santa Suit; however, my fav was the purple onepiece snow suit. People are awesome! It was a great time, the weather was super sunny, everyone was so stoked to be on the slopes and well I had a really good time learning how to snowboard. Went up the chair lift, got down, did it again...and again...and again! I had such a great time, can't wait to get out there again next weekend! I really need to work on getting better, gunna try some jumps next time :) Totally am going to wipe out massive! But snow hurts a heap less than pavement so all is good. Well, that is really the only stuff that has been going on. It is more about the day to day here on the farm. Get up, do some work in the greenhouse, maybe run an errand or two, do some crocheting. But I am hoping to up the ante and get up to more in the future. Just getting into the swing of things here for now. Well, I hope you all are living exciting lives.
Cheers kids!

Hello Lucy.
ReplyDeleteYou want exciting? Hey top this. Got up this fine Sunday morning at 4:45 AM thanks to Truman -- after attending the wedding of friend (their daughter)late last night.
Your cousin Courtney was out on the dance floor until the bitter end. Nathan managed to get out there a few times as well.
Not sure if you know yet. But Nathan landed a job. He will be working at Rehab Xcel which is part of Procare a large PT corporations (some 600 locations). He will be one of two PT's at a new facility in Maryville, Illinois. He will also fill in at their 2 St. Louis locations and Fairview Heights ( I think) -- until he builds his client base.
Later today we will be attending the "mortgage burning party" at the local food pantry. Aunt Jo is on the board there and is arranging todays gala events. She will be glad when it is over. Hopefully the weather will hold out.
We are thinking about heading back to Rockford next weekend to celebrate fathers day there with my Uncle Ray. Still trying to work out the logistics. Some friends of ours are celebrating their 40th Anniversary on Friday and another (older friend) is having his 60th birthday on Saturday.
In short, next weekend we get to see a lot of people in a very short time. Not sure why, but the whirlwind style of seeing people seems par for the course for us of late. The good news is you get to see a lot of people. The bad news you get to spend only a little time with them. One of these days we need to connect back up with your folks.
Well, the paper just arrived and I'm just rattling on.
Take care.
Love UBob, Aunt Jo and Courtney
